This month’s FrankTalks lecture will feature author Jay Sheridan and photographer Robin Hood, who will discuss their upcoming book, Historic Franklin: Along the Harpeth.

Franklin Tomorrow will host its monthly FrankTalks lecture on Monday, June 12, at 9:30 a.m. at the Westhaven Residents Club on 401 Cheltenham Ave in Franklin.

Jay Sheridan, author, has covered interesting people and places in numerous magazines and books, including works with Grandin Hood on Historic Franklin, Tennessee, West Virginia’s famous Greenbrier Resort, Florida’s venerable Don CeSar Hotel on St. Pete Beach, and the life and career of Mike Curb and Curb Records. As founder of Sheridan Public Relations in downtown Franklin, he focuses his work on hospitality, tourism and front-page issues, and currently serves as board president for the non-profit Friends of Franklin Parks.

Robin Hood was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for photography while a newspaper photojournalist in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He studied painting at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, which presented him the Distinguished Alumnus Award during its Centennial Celebration. Hood served as an Army lieutenant in Vietnam. He has photographed more than fifty books about American communities and institutions.
