Anyone who lives in Franklin Tennessee or has visited know it’s one special place! The city has now added a couple more recognitions to prove it. CNN/Money magazine last week placed Franklin in the number 52 spot up from 66 in 2010. With Franklin’s population 62,600 the magazine boasts of Franklin’s respect for the past and its eagerness to embrace the future. CNN/Money has named Williamson County tenth in the country for job growth. Williamson County (including the city of Franklin) boasts a 40.3 percent job growth from 2000-2011.
“The City of Franklin is a great place to live. We enjoy a great quality of life in Franklin and are working to build upon this every day. It is nice to have this national recognition of our community,” said City Administrator Eric Stuckey. “We are also pleased to see the recognition of our community as a top ten location for jobs. We have so many great businesses large and small that do so much for the community. These recognitions are well deserved and also provide a great opportunity to place our hometown on the national stage.”
