Early voting starts Wednesday, Oct. 4, continues until Oct. 19

The candidates in all four ward aldermanic elections on the ballot on Oct. 24 have agreed to participate in a forum to be held Monday, Oct. 9, as part of Franklin Tomorrow’s monthly FrankTalks lecture series. The forum will be held at the Williamson County Enrichment Center, 110 Everbright Ave., next to the Williamson County Public Library.
The event will start at 9 a.m. with a coffee social, followed by the program at 9:30 a.m. It will end at 11 a.m.
Joining with Franklin Tomorrow to present the event are Williamson Inc., Williamson County Association of Realtors, and the Williamson Herald. Tom Lawrence of WAKM AM-950 will serve as the moderator.
Candidates include:
Ward One: Alderman Beverly Burger being challenged by J. Edward Campbell and Michael Phillips
Ward Two: Alderman Dana McLendon being challenged by Mike Vaughn
Ward Three: Alderman Michael J. Skinner being challenged by Scott Speedy
Ward Four: Alderman Margaret Martin being challenged by Elizabeth Downing Wanczak

Early voting for the Oct. 24 Franklin City Election for four ward aldermanic seats on the Board of Mayor and Aldermen will begin this Wednesday, Oct. 4, and continue until Thursday, Oct. 19. During the week, registered voters can cast their ballots from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Complex, 1320 W. Main St. The polls will be open two Saturdays — Oct. 7 & Oct. 14, from 8 a.m. until noon.
On Election Day, Oct. 24, polls across the City will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
