Franklin Tomorrow, Williamson County Association of Realtors join forces to conduct local survey

Sept. 7, 2012 — Franklin Tomorrow and the Williamson County Association of Realtors® have joined forces to sponsor a telephone survey which will be conducted locally in the upcoming weeks by a national research firm.

Through a grant from the National Association of Realtors®, the two organizations hope to further explore the results of the 2011 Franklin Tomorrow visioning process as well as gather data on home ownership and housing trends.

“Since the outcomes of the yearlong Vision process were revealed earlier this year, Franklin Tomorrow has been exploring and developing ways to further analyze the results as it relates to what the citizens of Franklin truly mean when they identified certain strategies as important to the future of our city,” said Kathie Moore, President of Franklin Tomorrow.

“Our first step was to create three Project Teams — Business & Development, Transportation & Community Character, and Environment & Recreation — which encapsulated the top strategies from almost each of the nine areas in which Franklin Tomorrow works,” Moore said. “This partnership with WCAR to delve deeper into the citizens’ wishes is another step in our mission of engaging the community, fostering collaboration, and advocating for a shared vision for the future of Franklin.”

The survey will be conducted by MWR, a national public opinion research firm, which will contact approximately 400 Franklin residents through a random-sampling process, according to Allison King, Government Affairs and Communications Director for the Williamson County Association of Realtors.

The survey is expected to take approximately 12 minutes to complete, King said, and will provide valuable information for both organizations. The information gathered will be shared with City of Franklin officials and the public.

“Williamson County Association of Realtors® has been a collaborator with Franklin Tomorrow for a number of years, including serving as a sponsor of the quarterly ‘Breakfasts With the Mayors,’ which provide valuable information to the business community and we are proud to continue our partnership through these efforts,” said Tiffany Cheuvront, Executive Vice President for WCAR.

The Williamson County Association of Realtors® is the leading regional advocate and provider of research, education and business services for brokers, real estate professionals and the public in Middle Tennessee. With over 1,500 members, WCAR serves real estate professionals and consumers in Williamson County, Tennessee for the past 50 years.

Franklin Tomorrow is a non-profit community visioning organization established in 2001 to ensure that Franklin’s future would be as rich — in meaning and spirit, as well as in buildings and businesses — as its past.
