The results of the Housing Analysis Study, conducted for the City of Franklin by BBC Research & Consulting of Denver, Colo., will be the featured presentation at the free event. Register for the event online athttps://april29breakfastwithmayors.eventbrite.com.
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen commissioned the study to provide a measured assessment of present and future unmet housing demand within our community. Analyzing Franklin’s demographics, population, and employment growth, the study focuses on short-to-mid-term housing demand over the next five, 10, and 15 years. It is intended to assist the community with understanding key housing issues, formulating specific housing priorities, policy alternatives, and related strategies.
Population and job growth in Williamson County are expected to outpace the region, with the greatest growth in population expected in the 65-years-and-and-older age bracket. Yet. Williamson County’s workforce is expected to add 25,000 new jobs by 2013, according to a report by Williamson Inc.
