Join Franklin Tomorrow for our monthly FrankTalks on Monday, Feb. 12, to learn more about the last remaining Rosenwald School in Williamson County, the Lee-Buckner School, and how its history and legacy are being preserved through its move to the Heritage Foundation of Franklin & Williamson County’s Franklin Grove Estate & Gardens in downtown Franklin.
The event will be held at the Williamson County Enrichment Center, 110 Everbright, although the best parking is at the adjacent Williamson County Public Library parking lot, which is accessed from Granbury Street off Columbia Avenue.
Heritage Foundation officials will discuss the project alongside former students of the Lee-Buckner School, which is set to be moved to a site within the Franklin Grove project Lewisburg Pike and South Margin in early February.
FrankTalks is presented monthly on the second Monday of the month at various locations around Franklin by Franklin Tomorrow and presenting partner Renasant Bank. Sustaining partners Atmos Energy and Williamson Health are also part of the program.
The event starts at 9 a.m. with a 30-minute coffee social provided by Lyon Leadership Group, the local McDonald’s franchisee. The hourlong program begins at 9:30 a.m.
