Williamson County is home to hundreds of nonprofits or charity drives, many of which kick in during the holiday season.
Join Franklin Tomorrow at Columbia State Community College on Liberty Pike on Nov. 13 for a FrankTalks program in which we will hear from several area nonprofits, with the them, “All I NEED for Christmas: Williamson County Nonprofits.”
The program will start at 9:30 a.m., preceded by a 9 a.m. coffee networking session as well as a chance to see display booths from area nonprofits.
To RSVP, go to https://FranktalksNov13.eventbrite.com.
Joining us for the program will be Graceworks, One Generation Away, Williamson County Animal Center, Brightstone and Waves. We have invited other group to have display tables, so this could be a great way to learn how to help our neighbors during the upcoming season.
Our friends from Hippie Radio 94.5 will be on hand to collect blankets with them to donate, and April Kiser of Hippie Radio will be there to take the donations and answer any questions. People can donate money online if they prefer, and every penny of that goes to purchase blankets at usually $1 or $2 each.
The collected and purchased blankets are given to multiple nonprofit organizations in the Nashville Metro to distribute to the homeless population in their communities. This is the fourth year for Blanket Nashville, and the organization has collected more than 6,200 blankets in the first three years. The goal for this year is 3,000.
FrankTalks is presented monthly by Renasant Bank and our sustaining partners Williamson Health and Atmos Energy.
