A little history
It was in early 2000, when a small group of community leaders recognized that something needed to be done to ensure that Franklin’s future would be as rich – in meaning and spirit, as well as in buildings and businesses – as its past. It was to ensure that its essential attributes, those qualities that were and are at the heart of its attraction, would be present for future generations.

When Franklin Tomorrow was started, one of the most extraordinary things was that so many people, including some old adversaries, were held together by a common bond – choosing the right path for our city and future generations.

Our original plan was a “flexible blueprint” for the future and I don’t believe any of us could have anticipated the impact of Franklin Tomorrow and its programs on the past 20 years and the future which lies ahead.

Today our mission is to engage the community, foster collaboration, and advocate for a shared vision for the future or Franklin. We do this through our regular programs, such as the monthly FrankTalks and the quarterly Breakfast With the Mayors.
We also offer special programs, such as On the Table in 2018 and 2019, partnering with the City of Franklin in the 2020 process to be named one of 10 All-America Cities by the National Civic League, and fundraising projects for Franklin’s Christmas tree and to establish a scholarship for the late Alderman Pearl Bransford at Columbia State Community College.

What to expect July 30

During the event on July 30, we will enjoy a casual dinner featuring some Franklin favorites prepared by Catering & Events by Suzette. As a casual summer party, we encourage guests to dress as if we were dining on Main Street, seated at farmhouse tables and beverages from Lipman Bros. served from the Squircle bar in the center of the room.

Tickets are $150 per person and a limited number of tables for eight are available for $1,200. To purchase tickets, follow this link.
