On top of Franklin being named one of 10 All-America Cities from the National Civic League, Franklin also won the All-America City Cultural Entertainment Showcase with a video performed and produced by StudioTenn.
Franklin Tomorrow along with StudioTenn brainstormed many ideas for the All-America City Cultural Entertainment Showcase and wanted to focus on the talent that is all around Franklin and make the video entertaining and fun. With that in mind, StudioTenn and Franklin Tomorrow came up with the final product. The Cultural Entertainment Showcase video highlights the talents of StudioTenn and Franklin community members and those that have participated in many of StudioTenn’s events including StudioTenn’s Artistic Director Patrick Cassidy and acclaimed singer Patrick Thomas. The video also features the great work that StudioTenn has been doing over the last several months including a performance by one of the winners of StudioTenn’s Virtual Musical Theater Performance Contest. StudioTenn has also been producing “StudioTenn Talks: Conversations with Patrick Cassidy”, a virtual talk show hosted by Artistic Director Patrick Cassidy featuring exclusive interviews with acclaimed performing artists from Broadway, film and music, which is featured in the Cultural Entertainment Showcase as well. Finally, StudioTenn will be hosting its Virtual Variety Show on August 27, 2020, which will feature Deanna Anthony, who is also a performer in the Cultural Entertainment Showcase video.
This win was made possible because of the collaboration between Franklin Tomorrow and StudioTenn, and it is such an honor to be able to showcase the talent that Franklin has to offer. It is because of the great community spirit in Franklin, and everyone that took time to vote for our Cultural Entertainment Showcase during the All-America City competition, that this win was accomplished.
