Early voting for the Nov. 3 election continues at sites across Williamson County through Oct. 29.
“We having a tremendous and historic turnout for early voting so far,” stated Chad Gray, Administrator of Elections. “After the first four days of in person early voting, approximately 33,000 ballots have been cast at our eight polling sites with an additional 6,500 ballots returned by-mail, which is already 24% of the nearly 166,000 registered voters in the county. We are pleased to have the Cool Springs Conference Center (Marriott Hotel), the Franklin Recreation Complex on Hillsboro Road and the Williamson County Agricultural Expo Center as additional sites for this election. Hours at all locations are until 6:30 p.m. weekdays and on this Saturday, October 24th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Offices appearing on the ballot will include Republican & Democratic nominees & Independent candidates for President and Vice President, United States Senate, United States House of Representatives (7th Congressional District), and Tennessee House of Representatives (Districts 61, 63 & 65). Municipal candidates will also be seeking election in the City of Fairview (Four Commissioners), and Town of Thompsons Station (Two Alderman).Questions? Voters may anticipate a number of precautionary measures that have been implemented inside polling places to ensure their safety and welfare when casting their ballot.
Voters are also reminded to bring your Tennessee state issued or your Federal issued Photo ID even if it is expired (unless exempt under the law) to vote.
Early voting FAQ:
*Any registered voter in the county may vote at any established Early Voting site regardless of their precinct of registration. Early voting begins (20) days prior to Election Day and usually ends (5) days prior to Election Day.
*Tennessee state or Federal issued Photo ID (even if expired) is required to vote unless an exemption applies. First time voters who registered to vote by mail must show proof of correct address when voting. (T.C.A. 2-7-112)
*Voters who have moved less than (90) days before the date of a Federal/State primary or General Election to another place inside Tennessee but outside the county where the voter is registered may vote in the polling place where the voter is registered. (T.C.A. 2-7-115)
*Voters must be registered in their county of residence no later than (30) days before Election Day in order to vote. (T.C.A. 2-2-109)
Election Day FAQ:
The deadline to register to vote for this election was Monday, October 5. If you choose to vote on Election Day, November 3, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at any Vote Center.
